The waiting area at the domestic departure security checkpoint of Terminal 2 is the only area where passengers wait before entering the security channel. Lightboxes are the prime media resource in the airport arrival process, where people spend the longest time, focus their attention the most, and cover the widest audience. During the waiting period, passengers repeatedly check the carousel, and the advertisement images appear repeatedly in their line of sight, greatly enhancing memory retention.

The mezzanine is a key vertical transit hub connecting the airport jet bridge with the ground transportation center and baggage claim hall.
