The daily traffic volume is massive, and vehicle speeds are forced to slow down or stop in the toll area, creating a natural scene for prolonged viewing. 
Although the original toll station area was free, the convergence of lanes naturally forms a slow-moving zone where drivers and passengers spend an average of 30-90 seconds on stop/slow movement, shifting attention from the road to the surrounding media.
