Line 1 is the first subway line in Hangzhou, running through the city's oldest and busiest central area, connecting scenic spots, transportation hubs, commercial centers, university towns and other core elements of the city. Line 1 has the widest transfer boundary, connecting to the already opened lines 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 19 (Airport Express).
